Welcome to the official website of the Kent Vegan Festival. We hope you find our website useful wherever you are in your vegan journey.
The Kent Vegan Festival was established in 2015 and is an annual event which is growing each year.
The fifth Kent Vegan Festival will be held at Canterbury College on the 4th May 2019.
We are now developing a variety of events throughout the year, including a monthly market (Kent Vegan Market) , a comedy club (in partnership with Matt Hoss/Viva Las Vegans), Kids’ comedy events, film events and cookery workshops for different ages.
See our social media links for more news 🙂
The aim of the Kent Vegan Festival is to raise awareness about veganism as a compassionate, holistic, healthy and intrinsically non-violent philosophy and growing movement. Our events are inclusive and welcoming, with the aim of encouraging all people in their vegan journey.
We believe in a pro-intersectional approach to veganism. Systems of oppression are interconnected and cannot be challenged in isolation.
The festival is aimed at people who are, or are thinking about becoming vegan, those already moving towards the lifestyle; or who are just interested in finding out more about what veganism really means.
Our approach is to be supportive, educational, encouraging and positive: we believe in non-violence to all living beings and in peaceful, friendly, non-discriminatory means of campaigning and communicating our message. We believe that this is the most effective way to teach people about all aspects of veganism and to increase the number of vegans in the world.
